Sea-Tac (SEA) South Terminal Expansion

MKA provided civil design for this redevelopment encompassing the entire south end of the airport, which remained operational and replaced the existing terminal with a facility twice the size. Including both air- and land-side infrastructure and site work, MKA's scope covered a new and interim ground transportation lot, realignment of Air-Cargo Road, and significant utility relocation (storm drain and industrial waste systems, water, and sanitary sewer), as well as demolition of Concourse A, the Pan American Hangar, the Northwest Airlines Hangar, and the Flight Kitchen area. The work at Gate E45 set new standards for vehicular access gates to the aircraft operations area at the airport.
