San Diego (SAN) Federal Inspection Station

This terminal’s phased expansion and renovation added a two-story, 47,000-ft² design/build federal inspection services building, three gatehouses, upgraded six airplane boarding gates, remodeled terminal space, and introduced at-grade parking. Despite a compressed schedule, the project was completed two months earlier than planned, saving the owner $30 million. Airport operations were not interrupted during construction. This project is LEED Gold certified.
