MKA’s Annual ‘Food Frenzy’ Raises Record Amount for Food Lifeline

MKA’s annual summer fundraiser, Food Frenzy, raised $23,655 this year, a new record for the firm!  MKA placed third among 67 participating organizations that raised $535,612, contributed 2,330 volunteer hours, and collected 33,710 food items.

For two weeks every summer, MKA employees buy into tournaments and social events, bid on sponsored events and experiences, empty their pockets of spare change, don silly costumes, and amass raffle tickets.  The annual event raises money for Food Lifeline, an organization committed to fighting hunger in Western Washington.

At MKA’s summer Town Hall, a chess set meticulously crafted by MKA engineers Jeremy Feist and Jeremy Hasselbauer—and a winning bid of $2,500—shocked and delighted the crowd and put MKA’s 2024 Food Frenzy total well ahead of last year’s.

MKA has participated in the Food Frenzy program for 16 years.  Food Lifeline’s network of food banks, shelters, and meal programs works to make a difference in the lives of many.
