For two weeks this summer, MKA employees engaged in friendly Whirlyball and cornhole competitions, bid on fun opportunities to tee off at Topgolf, kayak and standup paddleboard on Lake Union, purchase art created by their colleagues, and even fly over the Puget Sound region in a private plane in support of Food Frenzy.
This annual event raises money for Food Lifeline, an organization committed to feeding Western Washington people facing hunger today and working to end hunger for tomorrow.
MKA employees and their matching-fund donors raised $20,314 this year between July 14 and 28. MKA placed eighth among 67 participating organizations that collectively raised $620,304, contributed 2,753 volunteer hours, and collected 7,144 food items.
MKA has participated in the Food Frenzy program for 15 years, raising between $10,000 and $20,000 annually over the past five years.
