Nearly two dozen MKA employees and their family members outfitted in gloves, rain gear, and custom-made purple T-shirts visited Thurgood Marshall Elementary School in Seattle’s Judkins Park neighborhood on September 23 to participate in this year’s companywide Community Service Day.
In one day, volunteers rebuilt and repaired the school’s garden fence, mulched new trees, trimmed and weeded several paths, and repainted playground lines for kickball, basketball, and other activities.
This year’s volunteers included Hannah Bonotto, Morgan Brun, Abby Desa, Elizabeth Espitia, Jeremy Feist, David Fields, Andy Fry, Pablo Echeverria Garcia, Amy Garras, Jeremy Hasselbauer, Robbie Hitch, Amanda Huang, Saya Kajiwara, Kellye Lofquist, Anand Mourougassamy, Juliette Peyroux, Dave Steele, Logan Stewart, Brad Strandquist, Kristine Svehla‑Brown, and Emma Williams.
A huge thanks to Saya, whose leadership made this year’s event possible.
Nice work, team!
